The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes is a multiplayer, top-down Zelda game coming to Nintendo 3DS. It looks like it uses assets from A Link Between Worlds, and gameplay looks reminiscent of the co-op style of Four Swords.

The game features a Totem mechanic, where different players can stand atop one another’s shoulders to reach higher player. A four-player totem was considered too tall, so Nintendo say up to three players can use this mechanic at a time.

There’s also a fashion element to the game. You can craft different outfits for your characters, and depending on what clothes you have equipped, your abilities will change.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes will be released this Fall for 3DS. The game will include online multiplayer.
