Pokemon Home Update Lets You Trade With Friends Far Away For a Limited Time

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

A new update for Pokemon Home has gone live, and with it come several new changes. First on the list is the ability to trade with friends who are far away. This feature will last for a limited time, and an end date for this feature will be announced at a later date. However, users can now trade with friends they otherwise couldn’t trade with before. Other changes include the time it takes for Wonder Box trade to complete. The time for this feature has been shortened to one hour. Additionally, users can participate in ten Free Room Trades a day.

For those engaged in competitive play, Pokemon Home’s latest update will now show you your Battle Data from previous matches. This includes Ranked Battles. Additionally, you can check previous Ranked Battles and Online Competitions to see what Pokemon were used, and what moves were used in these matches.

Pokemon Home is available as a free and paid service and, as expected, the free service does have some limitations. With this service, you can trade, transfer, and store Pokemon across multiple games.

Pokemon Home is available for the Nintendo Switch, Android devices, and Apple iOS devices. Pokemon Sword and Shield are available for the Nintendo Switch.
