The Last of Us Part 2 will feel a different when people play it on a PS5, thanks to a new patch. Sony and Naughty Dog announced an Enhanced Performance Patch for the system. It will be free for everyone and launch on May 19, 2021. Once applied, people will be able to choose their framerate target. It is also described as “the first step of working on the PS5” by Naughty Dog Director of Communications Arne Meyer.
This The Last of Us Part 2 patch is 1.08. Once you install it, you can head into the options menu to trigger it. There will be two choices under Display. One has the game maintain 30 FPS. However, people can also choose a 60 FPS framerate target.

Meyer didn’t go into other possible PS5 updates for the game. The PlayStation Blog announcement ended with a “We’ll let you know when we’ve got more news to share.”
The Last of Us Part 2 is available for the PS4, and its PS5 enhanced performance patch will arrive on May 19, 2021. The game was a big winner at The Game Awards 2020 and PlayStation Blog GOTY Awards.
