The Xbox 360 sold 140,000 units during the month of June in the U.S., Microsoft have reported, making it the best-selling home console for the month yet again. Meanwhile, Nintendo report that the Nintendo 3DS sold 225,000 systems during the month, making it the best-selling videogame system.
In the software sales department, Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us was the #1 game for the month. The NPD Group report that The Last of Us enjoyed the the second highest debut of a Sony first-party game on PS3, behind only God of War 3.
The top-10 best-selling games for the month of June (at retail) are listed below. For some perspective, not that Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D sold 108,000 copies in June, and that’s counting digital sales, which the NPD Group doesn’t track. This means everything below DKCR3D on the list was at or below the 100,000 mark. (Ouch, Deadpool.)
