The Kirby Pupupu Train isn’t an actual train, but a collaboration shop at the Tokyo Station that sells limited edition Kirby goods. The collaboration with retail chain TBS iShop started in 2016 and has made a return each year since then.
This year, it will return to the usual spot at the Tokyo Station Ichiban Plaza starting July 10, 2020 until July 23, 2020. The official website has a note mentioning that due to the ongoing pandemic, there’s a possibility of a delay or schedule at any time. Furthermore, this year the companies are working on making the limited edition goods (excluding some food and other items) available through the TBS official online shop. The online shop will begin selling the Kirby Pupupu Train goods starting July 10, 2020 at 12:00pm JST.
The theme for this year’s event is “Ticket Gate”, as it is the place train adventures usually begin, with a ticket. That moment you put the ticket in the machine before an anticipated trip to Planet Popstar is sure to get anyone excited.
The Kirby Pupupu Train will be open daily from 11:00am to 8:00pm JST from July 10, 2020 to July 23, 2020. It will close a bit earlier on the last day at 6:00pm JST. The pop up shop will also come to Nagoya and Osaka, but no further information was shared about its schedule.
