Jackbox Games confirmed that yes, the next The Jackbox Party Pack collection is in development. In Fall 2021, people will be able to pick up The Jackbox Party Pack 8. It will be another collection of five multiplayer games. The announcement also included a general timeline for when people might be able to expect news.
First, Jackbox Games noted that the first game will be announced by May 2021. It also said people will get to see early versions of the collection’s games in Summer 2021. While there’s no exact release window for The Jackbox Party Pack 8 yet, it mentioned it might have an announcement regarding it in September. As a reminder, past installments tended to debut in either October or November each year. Both The Jackbox Party Pack 6 and 7 each launched in October.
No hints about included titles appeared, though it did mention Word Spud in the announcement. The Jackbox Party Pack 7 included Blather ‘Round, Champ’d Up, The Devils and the Details, Quiplash 3, and Talking Points.
The Jackbox Party Pack 8 will appear on as yet unnamed “major digital platforms” in Fall 2021. However, as a refresher, The Jackbox Party Pack 7 is available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
