Bandai Namco announced that the mobile rhythm game The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage will be collaborating with the visual novel maker Key.
If you’re unfamiliar with Key, the visual novel maker has made many touching stories which have been adapted into anime series, such as CLANNAD, Angel Beats!, Little Busters!, planetarium, and their Summer Pockets. Apart from these stories, the games are also known for their soundtrack and vocal themes, taken from both their games and the anime adaptations. The collaboration with The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage will focus on this angle, with idols from that game series covering several famous songs related the brand. Additionally, there will be other new additions to the game from the collaboration, including room items. (Here’s hoping for Akiko’s Rainbow Jam to make a cameo!)
More info on the collabOration will be revealed in the near future. However, we can likely expect some of the more popular songs, such as Air‘s “Tori no Uta,” CLANNAD‘s “Megumeru” or “Dango Daikazoku,” and Little Busters!‘s “Little Busters!” to probably make an appearance.
The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage is available in Japan on Apple iOS and Android devices. Key’s latest game, Summer Pockets, is available worldwide on PCs via Steam.
