Gigantamax stuffed animals are heading to Japan. To be more specific, rather notable Gigantamax Meowth and Pikachu plush toys will be sold in the online Pokemon Center. The listings for both are now live ahead of their October 2020 launch and they are appropriately huge. For example, the Meowth is over five feet tall.

The Gigantamax Meowth plush exemplifies the longcat meme ideal. The toy is 165cm long, which comes out to about five feet, four inches tall. In the official product listing advertising the 33,000円 (~$309) toy, it even shows it “sleeping” in a bed to provide a sense of scale. (As a reminder, in-game it was an early purchase bonuses for Pokemon Sword and Shield.)

Here’s a full look at the toy.

As for the Gigantamax Pikachu plush, it is a bit more stout. This absolute unit is 80cm tall, which comes out to two feet, six inches. However, it is almost as wide and long as it is tall, as it is 57cm (almost two feet) wide and 60cm (again, almost two feet) long. As its product listing notes, it will be slightly more expensive at 44,000円 (~$411), perhaps due to its girth.

Here’s the Gigantamax Pikachu.

The Gigantamax Meowth and Pikachu plush toys will begin shipping in Japan in October 2020, and preorders are open in the region until May 31, 2020. A worldwide release hasn’t been confirmed, though these plush toys have appeared on the Pokemon Center online in other regions.
