The Game Awards 2019 Will Reveal Around 10 New Games or Projects

The Game Awards 2019 is less than a week away and Geoff Keighley shared tidbits on what to expect on a Reddit AMA.

The biggest highlight from the AMA is his quote on how many games we can expect to see:

Geoff Keighley: “We have a bunch of brand new games being announced at the show — I think there are around 10 new games/projects being revealed if you want to count the things that no one has heard about yet. As always the Internet has a lot of really bad information out there about what you think is at the show…but it sure is fun to read :)”

Last year, Geoff Keighley pushed the event by saying they had the biggest lineup yet in terms of new game announcements. The Game Awards 2018 had about 16 new game announcements, which included Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, Mortal Kombat 11, The Outer Worlds, and more.

Unfortunately, if you’re wondering about the recently leaked Resident Evil 3 getting an announcement at The Game Show 2019, Geoff Keighley says it won’t be there:

Geoff Keighley: “There are no plans (never were) to do anything with Resident Evil 3 at the show. A lot of these ‘leaks’ are completely wrong. Nothing about our show has leaked as of this writing.”

Lastly, Geoff Keighley didn’t drop any hints for the announcements, but with 10 new game announcements there’s a good chance there will be something for everyone. Stay tuned for more details.

The Game Awards 2019 takes place on December 12, 2019, at 5:30 pm PT.
