Sega has released the full version of ‘Geki! Teikoku Kagekidan (Shinshou)’, the Japanese theme song for Project Sakura Wars. The song is a fresh twist on the classic theme song for the original Sakura Wars, and features new lyrics and melodies that reflect the second coming of the Floral Division. According to series composer Kouhei Tanaka, with the new theme song he tried to fuse together the feelings of kindness and strength to create a sort of beautiful catharsis in the song. He also states that it’s a song that inhabits the inheritance of the traditions of the Imperial Combat Revue, and the love for Sakura Wars.
