The Final Fantasy VII Remake Tifa Theme Is Now Free Everywhere

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

It turns out, people didn’t need to eat all those Butterfingers, Baby Ruths, and Crunch bars after all. While the Final Fantasy VII Remake Tifa theme was originally available as part of a special promotion that rewarded people for buying candy, it is now available for everyone, everywhere for free. The Final Fantasy VII Remake Tifa Theme is available both in the United States’ and Europe’s PlayStation Stores. In each case, it is an absolutely free download with no other commitments or requirements beyond having a PlayStation Network account. This comes after the early May 2020 distribution of the dynamic theme, which has Tifa on Nibelheim’s water tower, for free in Japan.

In case you missed seeing it before, here is footage from XFactor1111 showing the dynamic theme in action. Tifa actually appears in front of the menu icons, her hair moves, and she occasionally kicks her leg.

The art itself is based on a recreation of Final Fantasy VII character art for the character. In each case, Tifa is looking up at the stars while in the middle of her hometown’s square.

For those looking for other Final Fantasy VII Remake themes, there was one released for Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringers and for PlayStation Plus members.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is available for the PlayStation 4.
