A problem that kept people trapped on worlds in Final Fantasy XIV is gone. Square Enix confirmed that the FFXIV World Visit System is again working as normal. It first brought up that things seemed to be resolved and should be better after emergency maintenance on April 15, 2021. Then on April 16, 2021, travel resumed.
Back on April 13, 2021, right after 5.5 launched, people experienced issues with the World Visit System. They weren’t able to travel as usual. Square Enix shut things down temporarily as a result. This meant that no one could use the FFXIV World Visit System to either visit another Home World on their Data Center. Or, if someone was out visiting while this happened, they were temporarily trapped there until repairs completed.
This also meant an update regarding Automatic Housing Demolition. Square Enix paused that too while the World Visit System wasn’t working. It otd that homes will start being demolished again on April 19, 2021.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PlayStation 4 and PC. People on the PlayStation 5 can also play that version during its active open beta. (The free trial version is available during the beta phase as well.)
