The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, a turn-based strategic-RPG that looks like it may have been inspired by games like Final Fantasy Tactics, has a release date. While it originally had a 2019 launch window when it appeared during the E3 2019 Nintendo Direct, En Massive Entertainment took to the PlayStation Blog to reveal a February 4, 2020 launch date for the game.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance game is based upon the Netflix show of the same name. This prequel to the 1982 film features the Gelflings realizing that the Skeksis overlords aren’t people who should be worshipped, but are in fact destroying the world. Rian, Brea, and Deet, along with other Gelflings like Aughra, appear among the characters players will help fight back against the Skeksis as they journey around Thra.

Some details about the campaign were also confirmed alongside the release date. Over 50 battles will be available and set in five areas around Thra. During fights, dynamic events could happen that change how you’ll need to attack and proceed through areas. As characters in your party improve and fight, you will have opportunities to assign them to over 15 different jobs.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 4, 2020.
