TGS 2021 River City Girls 2 Trailer Shows Off Its Characters

At TGS 2021, Arc System Works shared a River City Girls 2 trailer highlighting the new characters and gameplay. The video only shows four of the six total playable characters in action, however. But it did also show some new environments and capabilities characters might use.

The River City Girls 2 trailer kicks off with peeks at the manga panel story segments in the game. One even shows little Misako helping out Kiyoko. Then, it shows the duo running through some of the city’s different environments. After that, Misako, Kiyoko, Kunio, and Riki are all shown beating up different opponents trying to get them down. While a brief image does show all six playable characters, which also includes Double Dragon‘s Marian and River City Ransom Underground‘s Provie, Marian and Provie are never shown in action during the clips.

As a reminder, WayForward announced Marian and Provie would be playable back in August 2021.

The end of the trailer went over the Japanese cast for the game. Here’s who will voice the four main characters.

  • Kunio is played by Makoto Furukawa.
  • Kyoko is played by Sumire Morohoshi.
  • Misako is played by Honoka Kuroki.
  • Riki is played by Chiaki Kobayashi.

River City Girls 2 will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam in 2022. In case you missed it, Siliconera spoke with WayForward about the game.
