Following the PlayStation Store jumping the gun and leaking the Street Fighter 6 release date, a more official announcement came up during The Game Awards 2022. This was accompanied by a new trailer for Capcom’s fighting game. While it showed off quite a bit of gameplay, it also focused on additional character confirmations. Namely, we see Dee Jay, Manon, Marisa, and JP in action.
Here’s the Street Fighter 6 release date trailer. As expected, both new and old characters appear. So alongside established fighters like Chun-Li and Ryu, folks can see newcomers like Jamie and Kimberly. It also showed some of the minigames available. After that, Dee Jay, Manon, Marisa, and JP showed up.

As a note, the PlayStation Store leak also confirmed some special editions. Pre-orders of the standard one also net folks outfit color 10 for six of the playable characters. The pre-orders are now officially live for the different versions of the game.
The Street Fighter 6 release date is June 2, 2023, and it will come to the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Its second closed beta will be held December 16-19, 2022.
