The 32nd Tetris 99 Maximus Cup is about to begin this weekend, and it will offer a chance to earn a Fire Emblem Engage theme. Officially titled the 32nd Maximus Cup – Alear Edition, it will take place March 24-27, 2023. People will need to play enough matches to earn 100 event points to get its limited edition in-game theme.
The Tetris 99 Fire Emblem Engage theme features characters and music from the game. The male and female versions of Alear appear on the left and right sides of the screen. In the field, there’s a picture of Emblem Marth. All tetrominos feature Fire Emblem weapon symbols like swords, polearms, axes, fists, bows, daggers, and tomes.
There’s also a trailer showing the theme in action.

This isn’t the first time a Fire Emblem crossover appeared in Tetris 99. A crossover appeared for Fire Emblem: Three Houses as well. That showed up back in August 2019. That theme involved Claude, Dimitri, and Edelgard with the Garreg Mach Monastery Officer’s Academy in the background.
Tetris 99 is available for the Nintendo Switch, and the Fire Emblem Engage 32nd Maximus Cup – Alear Edition will run March 24-27, 2023.
