Terraria For Wii U Offers Local And Online Multiplayer

Terraria, an open-world, fantasy building game, is going to be coming to the 3DS and Wii U. Speculation about the port was put to rest by 505 Games, which confirmed the release. Each will allowing people to use the systems’ touchscreens and styluses to control the game.

Multiplayer will also be an option for both games. The Wii U will allow local and online adventures. Four people can play in the same room, with a splitscreen feature, but the number jumps up to eight if someone chooses to explore online. The 3DS version will only allow local multiplayer for up to four players.

 

The 3DS and Wii U versions of Terraria will be playable for the first time at 505 Games’ Gamescom 2015 booth. They will be released in North America and Europe in 2016. It is immediately available on the PC, PS3, PS4, Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and mobile devices.
