When April 2022 began, we learned paid Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles DLC would be on the way. At the time, it had a Summer 2022 launch window for the rollout in Japan. Now Sega confirmed that is a worldwide release window for them. It also noted that the first new Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles character will be Tengen Uzui.
The announcement confirmed the Sound Hashira will be the first new character. While it didn’t involve screenshots of him in-game or a video, we do know how he’ll look. Art based on his 3D model appeared. When he launches, people will be able to use him in Versus.
We already know the other Demon Slayer characters who will join the cast. Daki and Gyutaro will be there. Nezuko will show up in her Advanced Demon Form. There will also be Entertainment District versions of Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu.
Tengen and the other new additions will show up on every platform. This includes the Nintendo Switch version of the game. The English announcement confirmed the launch window applies to every version.
Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. It will come to the Nintendo Switch on June 10, 2022. Pre-orders for that version are open. The first paid Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles DLC character will be Tengen Uzui.
