Namco Bandai lifted the curtain on Tekken Tag 2 for consoles last week, and a new trailer summarizes some of the announcements they made at their press event. For starters, producer, Katsuhiro Harada, promised more characters than the arcade version, and the trailer says there will be over 50.

Also mentioned is the new Pair Play mode, which has four fighters onscreen at once. The game will also include the usual 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 modes. Tag Tournament 2 also has a “Fight Lab” mode for both novice and advanced players. You can use to learn the game or to play against customized bots for various challenges.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will be released sometime this September on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
