Aquaplus released a trailer for Tears to Tiara Gaiden: Mystery of Avalon that’s heavy on gameplay. Just like Tears to Tiara: Wreath of the Earth this title is also PlayStation 3 strategy RPG.
In addition to a brand new story, Mystery of Avalon introduces the changling system which lets players switch units during battle. So, if your wizard is in danger you can replace him with someone from your reserve. Units on standby gradually recover HP and MP. Since most strategy RPGs force players to stick to a group after they select a team I’m curious to see if this works or if it dampers combat by making it too easy or drawing battles out.
Tears to Tiara Gaiden: Mystery of Avalon comes out in Japan on September 17.
