On February 10, 2020, fighting game developer Examu announced that it would be suspending business operations by the end of February 2020, but that development work will be carried over to Team Arcana. There has been some confusion over what this means, but Examu and Team Arcana producer Takaya Koucho confirmed on Twitter that essentially nothing’s really changing.

Koucho said, “I was finally able to make the announcement that Examu is suspending business operations, so it feels like a load is off my shoulders. Actually, since a few years back, we’ve been working under the name of Team Arcana, so at least for me, nothing’s really changing.”

When if Examu’s suspension of operations would only affect the development of hardware and not Team Arcana in any way, Koucho confirmed that while all Examu company operations will be suspended, apart from Examu’s operations, basically all of their front-end business will be continued by Team Arcana. This would include game development.

Finally, Team Arcana’s tweeted that development of Arcana Heart 3: Love Max Six Stars!!!!!! Xtend, the latest version of Arcana Heart 3 announced in April 2019, will be continued by them:

Arcana Heart 3: Love Max Six Stars!!!!!! Xtend is in development.
