Tartaglia Finally Learns How to Use a Bow in Genshin Impact 5.2

In screenshots from the beta version of Genshin Impact Version 5.2, we can see that HoYoVerse will finally fix the pose for Tartaglia when heā€™s pulling back his bow. He looks like he actually knows how to use the weapon now. [Thanks, YaoYun97645!]

Tartaglia’s posture when aiming a bow has always been terrible. He slouches his back, holds the bow at an angle, and doesnā€™t fully pull back the string. Lore-wise, this made enough sense that most people joked about it instead of blaming HoYoVerse. Tartaglia says in his voice lines that heā€™s proficient with most weapons, but heā€™s weakest with a bow. However, the screenshot shows that in Version 5.2, heā€™ll hold the bow with a proper stance.

According to Tweets from YaoYun97645ā€”the Twitter user who posted thisā€”the change is likely due to a future male bow user who shares Tartagliaā€™s model. Since Tartagliaā€™s horrible stance only works for him, HoYoVerse corrected it for this new character and then gave Tartaglia the new animation as well. This is not the first time that HoYoVerse implemented something for a new character. For example, in 2023, some Twitter users reported that they couldnā€™t name their Wanderer ā€œChioriā€ since it would overlap with the Geo character Chiori, who became playable about a year later.

Genshin Impact is available on the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. The Xbox Series X version will come out on the same day as Version 5.2, which will be November 20, 2024.
