Tales of Vesperia is the first game in the Tales series for a Microsoft console and some fans of the franchise may not own an Xbox 360. Namco Bandai and Microsoft are prepared to capitalize on this with the Tales of Vesperia Premium Pack.
Unlike the Trusty Bell bundle and Blue Dragon Premium Pack, Microsoft chose to pack in the 20GB hard drive for storage. Previous Xbox 360 “premium packs” with RPGs didn’t even come with a memory card to save games. Fortunately, the Tales of Vesperia Premium Pack includes a mass storage device and much more.
Here’s what you get for 37,800 yen ($358):
Tales of Vesperia
Tales of Vesperia Original Faceplate
An edited copy of the Tales of Vesperia script
Xbox 360 w/ 20GB Hard Drive
Wireless Controller
Media Remote
D Terminal HD AV Cables
LAN Cable
AC Adapter
Batteries
The price may sound a bit high in comparison to the price of the Xbox 360 in North America, but a Xbox 360 Pro package (read: the Xbox 360 with a hard drive) costs 34,800 yen ($330) in Japan and a lone copy of Tales of Vesperia is 7,800 yen ($73).
The Tales of Vesperia Premium Pack and the game come out on August 7 in Japan. Namco Bandai has yet to announce a specific release date for North America, but it will arrive sometime this year.
