Taiko no Tatsujin will officially celebrate its 20th anniversary on February 21, 2021. The popular rhythm game franchise started when Namco launched its first arcade game iteration in 2001. While the arcade game has been receiving new upgraded versions every year, Bandai Namco has also released numerous games related to the franchise on consoles.

The mainline Taiko no Tatsujin rhythm games available on current-gen consoles are Drum Session for PlayStation 4 and Drum ‘n’ Fun for Nintendo Switch. Last year in 2020, Bandai Namco also released Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythmic Adventure Pack, a remake of the two 3DS RPG spinoffs for the Switch. All of the aforementioned titles received a worldwide English localization.
