Sword Art Online’s Kirito Joins Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax

Kirito, the protagonist of Sword Art Online, will be a playable character in Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax, Sega have revealed via Dengeki Online. Kirito will join his companion, Asuna, who was previously revealed as a playable character in the game, and will be capable of dual-wielding “Climax Arts”.

Similar to when things got pretty serious in the anime and novel, Kirito will be able to activate his dual-wield mode in Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax.

In the above image, we see Kirito spinning his sword around for what looks like some sort of defensive move. Dengeki also points out that the support character, Leafa, seems to have some different moves that could be related to her being paired up with her brother Kirito.

Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax will be launching in spring 2014 in Japanese arcades.
