Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris producers Yosuke Futami of Bandai Namco and Satoshi Hirayae of Aquria talked bed scenes and more in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]
Here’s a bit from the interview about bed scenes for Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris
Yosuke Futami, Bandai Namco Producer: “I’m actually not a fan of the bed scenes and would rather show the characters’ daily lives and all kinds of scenes. I think it’s fine to be friendly with characters other than Asuna, but sleeping together is unnatural. [laughs]”
Yosuke Futami: “I also wanted to avoid making it into something of a tradition.”
Satoshi Hirayae, Aquria Producer: “I don’t think it’s necessary, but there are players who see it as a motivation.”
Yosuke Futami: “I learned that some players dislike the bed scenes, so this time, we removed bed scenes and anything dating-related from trophies.”
Lastly, Producer Futami teased that there’s still plenty of content for Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris that has yet to be announced:
Yosuke Futami: “Sword Art Online: Alicization is jam-packed with enough content that you can play for a whole year. There’s still plenty of content that we either haven’t or can’t announce.”
Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris will release for the PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in Japan on July 9, 2020. The game will release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam worldwide on July 10, 2020. Check out a new story trailer in our previous report.
