Switch Game Vouchers Return, Add Pokemon SV, Fire Emblem Engage

Nintendo is once again selling Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers. The program last appeared four years ago, in mid-2019. They’re a way for subscribers to Nintendo Switch Online to save money on digital copies of select games.

If you’re unfamiliar with how they work, the Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers are basically digital tickets that can be purchased from this page on the Switch eShop. The vouchers come in pairs and, once purchased, can be redeemed at any time within 12 months of the purchase. So if you buy a set today, you’ll have until the same day in 2024 to redeem them. Each set of two costs $99.98 USD, and a single account can have up to eight stored up. The only requirement is that a buyer be subscribed to Nintendo Switch Online.

Each Nintendo Switch Game Voucher can be redeemed for a game on a specific list of eligible titles. The list mostly consists of first-party Nintendo titles, select third-party titles, and exclusives spanning the whole history of the Switch. A number of new additions, including Fire Emblem: Engage, Splatoon 3, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and Live A Live are also eligible. The list will grow as new releases are added, so fans can “save” a voucher and use it when a new game strikes their fancy. Many titles also go for at least $49.99 USD, and most go for $59.99 USD, so players end up saving a bit on the list price.

Here’s the full list of titles eligible for redemption via Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers, arranged alphabetically and based on the North American eShop listing.
