Nintendo spent quite a bit of time sharing Minecraft Steve DLC details on October 3, 2020. (Like explaining that the team is still working remotely.) One of the most important was the launch date. Super Smash Bros Ultimate players will be able to add him (and Alex) to their rosters on October 13, 2020.
As usual, there are two ways to get Steve/Alex. One is to buy the character alone for $5.99. The other is to get the full Fighters Pass 2 for $29.99. In either case, you get the new fighter, the Minecraft-themed stage, new Spirits based on characters and elements found in Steve’s original game, and seven additional songs plucked from Minecraft. “Toys on a Tear” was one song showcased during the event, as an example.
The full presentation, which was about 45 minutes long, can be seen on Nintendo’s YouTube channel. It began with an extensive look at Steve and Alex’s moveset.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate is available for the Nintendo Switch. The Minecraft Steve DLC (which also lets you look like Alex, Enderman, or a Zombie) will launch on October 13, 2020. This joins ARMS’ Min Min as the second of the six add-ons coming in Fighters Pass Vol. 2.
