The next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Spirit Board event has been confirmed, and it will bring some characters with real fighting spirit to the game as assists. Characters from the Kunio-kun series will be joining the roster. People will have a chance to acquire them between January 24-28, 2020.

The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Kunio-kun event is called Downtown Nekketsu Smash Bro Match and will specifically feature four Spirits taken from River City Ransom/Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari. A teaser image showing its four spirits were shared on Twitter. Kunio and Riki, the leads, are present in their white and blue uniforms.

The other two Spirits shown in the picture are two of the bosses from the game. Goda, who was known as Ivan in the English release, is the one in green. The twins are The Dragon Twins Ryuichi and Ryuji/Andy and Randy. The two of them are based on Billy and Jimmy Lee from Double Dragon.

There have been quite a few special Super Smash Bros Ultimate Spirit Board events lately. Earlier this month, Astral Chain characters showed up. Before that, Resident Evil characters crashed the party. Some of the Pokemon Sword and Shield creatures have been added too.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available for the Nintendo Switch.
