Nintendo have sent out a giant batch of Super Smash Bros. screenshots, featuring all of the characters that were included in yesterday’s Nintendo Direct presentation. While the screenshots give one a good look at the different characters and stages, they also show off a thing or two you may not have known about earlier.

For example, the new Super Smash Bros. contains a number of elements from Capcom’s Mega Man franchise and Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, but thus far, there haven’t been any nods to Bandai Namco, who are developing the game.

Or rather, that’s what we thought up until now. Siliconera reader Justin tipped us off to the fact that the “Special Flag” item is in the game. The S-Flag appears in a number of Bandai Namco titles as a collectible item, or one that provides extra points. Additionally, there appears to be some sort of Galaga item in the game as well.
