As previously reported, Super Smash Bros. on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U will have more or less the same roster of playable characters, but stages in the two versions of the game will differ. The 3DS version will feature more stages from handheld games, whereas the Wii U version will have an increased focus on stages from console games.
Both versions will also feature different trophies, according to director Masahiro Sakurai. Sakurai shared one today from the Nintendo 3DS version of the game, featuring Saria from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.
Sakurai wrote on Miiverse: “There will be trophies in the 3DS and Wii U games, and each version will boast different types and models. The 3DS trophies will be mainly from handhelds and the Wii U version will feature trophies from the home-console games.”
