Bandai Namco has opened a new page for the Super Robot Wars series on the Bandai Channel streaming service page, celebrating the series’ 29th anniversary and preparing for the big 30th anniversary next year. Alongside this, the company gave out some free wallpapers and avatars focusing on Original Generations characters.

In particular, the website focuses on currently ongoing games like SRW X-Omega and Super Robot Wars DD, which are both available on smartphones. Additionally, you’re also able to watch the two anime series based on the Original Generations storyline for free (later on, it’ll be a paid service).

Check out the wallpapers and avatars below:

The series began in 1991 as a Game Boy title that brought together three iconic robot series – Mazinger ZGetter Robo, and Mobile Suit Gundam. It later made its way onto consoles and has been released on most major consoles since, including the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The latest game is Super Robot Wars T, which released in 2019.

While the series has had a relatively quiet year since the release of SRW T, late in 2019, series producer Takanobu Terada mentioned that the SRW team has big plans for the anniversary next year.

The latest game, Super Robot Wars T, is available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
