Super Robot Fighting Game Iron Saga VS Is Available Now

This franchise has its origins in the mobile game Battle Mecha Iron Saga. It appeared first in China in 2017, with foreign localizations gradually appearing in Japan and Korea in 2018, as well as globally in English in late 2019. The original mobile game has also been known to regularly host crossover events featuring Japanese robot anime titles that are also often featured in Bandai Namco’s Super Robot Wars series.

Iron Saga VS launches with twelve playable robots. Seven of them are original mechs from Iron Saga, such as the Vassago, Kaguya, Qing Long, Susanoo, Mephisto, Wu Shuang, and Nero. The remaining five are crossover guests from classic Japanese anime titles. The Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, and Boss Borot from the Mazinger series join the roster along with Getter Robo and Dancouga.

However, the new game’s release will not mark the end of its promotions. Gameduchy has also uploaded a launch trailer that newly reveals a roadmap for future post-launch content for the game throughout 2025. The company will release two DLC packs that unlock the Shin Getter Robo and Zeorymer of Heaven in mid-June 2025 and Winter 2025, respectively. It will also distribute free update patches that gradually add the Mazinkaiser and Black Getter, along with a new Story Mode, in between the DLC releases.
