A cooperative game mode has been revealed for Super Mario Party. If people want to work with one another, instead of against, they can play River Survival. This mode puts people in a boat and has them row down a river with branching paths in a timed segment.

All minigames in Super Mario Party’s River Survival are cooperative and succeeding in them adds time to your timer. (It seems you start with 60 seconds to get down the river.) You all must row together, in time, to determine the direction and perhaps even speed of the raft. If you hit a balloon, you start a minigame, which can add additional seconds to the clock. (In one minigame, they earn over 40 seconds for an S-rank.) Your hope is that you do reach the end.

Super Mario Party will come to the Nintendo Switch on October 5, 2018. As a reminder, Europe is getting a bundle that includes the game and a set of Joy-Cons.
