The announcement also comes with the revelation of a brand-new character that will appear in this game adaptation. The green-clothed girl is Kaori Koyuba, a famous idol who spent her childhood in Hitogashima. Yui Ogura will be the voice actress for this new character.

Kaori moved to Tokyo to follow her parents on their jobs, but her return to the island will inevitably alter the scenario initially based on the anime version. She will become the key character in one of the visual novel’s six routes.

Here is the full list of key characters with their own routes in Another Horizon, as ordered by the above image:

  1. Mio Kofune
  2. Hizuru Minakata
  3. Kaori Koyuba
  4. Tokiko Hishigata
  5. Ushio Kofune
  6. Tetsu Totsumura

MAGES. has also updated Another Horizon‘s website with more gameplay details. The game will include many visuals from the anime version to make the player feel like they are watching the Summer Time Rendering anime show.

The time leap-based visual novel will also feature unique types of branches, such as Action Branch and Tips Branch. The latter will involve response choices that will not be available unless the player had performed specific prerequisites beforehand.

Summer Time Rendering: Another Horizon will be available for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on January 26, 2023.
