The first Summer Game Fest 2021 teasers are here. The official Twitter account and host Geoff Keighley dropped hints about things to come. While the official account only shared a new color scheme, Keighley offered a better idea of how long the event will be this year.
When responding to people on Twitter, Keighley offered multiple statements regarding the length of this year’s Summer Game Fest. In one, he said that this year, it will be “less than 1 month.” In another, he said the goal will be “to make it more condensed.” In multiple statements, he also mentioned the challenges that came from running Summer Game Fest during the pandemic.
In 2020, Summer Game Fest debuted as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic and cancellation of E3 2020. It ended up being four months long. During which, there were different presentations and events about every week. The Steam Game Festival Summer Edition ran right in the middle of it.
As for the official account, the new colors for the logo were revealed. This year, it is going for a fuchsia and teal color scheme.
New year. New colors.
