Mografi has released a playable teaser for its upcoming girl detective adventure game Jenny LeClue. You can download it for iOS on the App Store, and on Gumroad and itch.io for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

You play as Jenny LeClue, a brilliant if young detective, who gets more than she bargained for when hoping for more adventure in her small idyllic college town of Arthurton. In short, her mother is accused of murdering the beloved Dean Strausberry, and so Jenny sets out to find the truth using her sharp eyes and quick wit.

Where this pursuit leads Jenny to is the dark underbelly of Arthurtown that she didn’t know existed. As Mografi explains, Jenny LeClue “explores mature themes, complex characters, and an epic tangled mystery.”

Other reasons to at least try out the playable teaser include its striking hand-drawn art style, a meta-narrative (told by narrator Arthur K Finklestein) that asks you to influence the cliffhanger ending, and the fact that it’s coming-of-age story that examines the blurred lines between right and wrong.

Jenny LeClue is due to come out in full in the first or second quarter of 2016 for iOS and PC platforms. You can find out more about the game on its website.
