Streets of Rage 4 PAX West demo footage has been released, and it gives people a long look at two levels from the game. Both stages one and six have been revealed, with the video showing Blaze and Cherry facing enemies in the first stage and Axel and Cherry taking on stage six. Interestingly, it provides a look at one new boss and one returning one.

The new boss is Diva, who shows up at the end of Streets of Rage 4 stage one. (She looks a bit like Garnet, an enemy from Streets of Rage 3.) Before the fight against Blaze and Cherry begins, she is sparking with an electrical current and punches the ground with a fierce electrical shock. She also is shown carrying a snake at all times, which she can use as an extended punching attack to bite an opponent.

The returning boss is Shiva, who comes up at the end of stage six. Previously, he appeared in Streets of Rage 2 and 3. (In the latter, he was available as a secret character.) He still has the same long hair in Streets of Rage 4 and relies upon a martial arts moveset.

You can get a look at Streets of Rage 4’s first and sixth stages in the GameSpot video below. Previously, stage six footage was shown at Gamescom 2019.

Streets of Rage 4 will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2020.
