Streets of Rage 4 Mr. X Nightmare DLC Makes Estel Playable

At the end of March 2021, a reference to Streets of Rage 4  Mr. X Nightmare DLC appeared at SteamDB. Now, Dotemu, Lizardcube, and Guard Crush Games confirmed the add-on will arrive in 2021. It will make Estel Aguirre playable, add two other characters, and give people a Survival mode. There will also be a free update in 2021.

The paid DLC will include a number of different features. Estel, the police officer who appeared as a boss, will be playable. You’ll be able to take your characters and customize their movesets. Tee Lopes will compose more songs for it. You’ll also have a Survival Mode to show how adept you are.

Here’s the first video showing Estel off. At the 1:18 mark, there are outlines hinting at the other two DLC players.

As for the free additions, they will make the game both easier and more challenging to play. There will be new training options. You’ll also be able to choose Mania+ when starting a run, to make the overall experience more challenging.

Streets of Rage 4 is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Streets of Rage 4 Mr. X Nightmare DLC will appear in 2021.
