Food company Ezaki Glico USA and Capcom announced that they’re teaming up to bring gamers around the world the new “Pocky K.O.” challenge campaign starting next month for Capcom Cup 2019.

In a new trailer we get to hear more about the Pocky K.O. from our boy James Chen. The rule is simple, you basically fight until your health gauge matches up with the “Pocky ratio.” Once you get there, you must defeat your opponent without taking any more damage to land the Pocky K.O.

Players can verify their Pocky K.O. with the Pocky K.O. checker site by uploading video captures and screenshots. By tweeting a clip with the hastag #PockyKO on Twitter, there’s a chance it’ll be screened during this year’s Capcom Cup.

Furthermore, Pocky and Capcom are getting some of the world’s best players involved with a special exhibition match at Capcom Cup which runs from December 13 to 15 in Los Angeles, California. The special exhibition match will pit globally ranked eSports players against each other for Street Fighter V: Pocky Edition, which comes with a UI that is exclusive to the campaign.

Fans will get to check out the special exhibition match via the official Capcom Twitch and Youtube channels.

Here’s a quote from Ezaki Glico Assistant Global Brand Manager Hiroshisa Tamai:

“Gaming is an incredible experience that unifies a community across the world and we’re excited to partner with Capcom to create a unique, one-of-a-kind experience. Pocky is committed to long term support of esports communities. We at Pocky have spirit and we love to share happiness. Esports brings happiness to every member of the audience and we want to help share the joy and excitement alongside them”.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is available on PlayStation 4 and PC. In case you missed it, Street Fighter V: Champion Edition was also announced, read all about it in our previous report.
