Street Fighter: The Movie is available to watch entirely for free through the Tubi streaming service. Potential viewers won’t need an account to access the film. They can stream the movie with a single click of a button. (Or a tap, if you’re viewing it on mobile devices.) The 1994 adaptation features takes on popular characters like Colonel Guile, played by 1980s action film star Jeanne-Claude Van Damme, and Blanka. Characters like M. Bison, played by Raul Julia, and Cammy, played by Kylie Minogue, also appear during the film. It is only available to view in the US. [Thanks, Wario64!]
The premise of Street Fighter: The Movie draws loose inspiration from the popular fighting game franchise. The story follows several key characters throughout the story, such as Chun-Li, Ryu, Ken, and Guile, as they work to bring down M. Bison. A sequel was planned in 2003, but the project never came to fruition.
While there are no talks to bring another Street Fighter adaptation to the silver screen, a new entry in the series is slated to launch in 2023. Street Fighter VI (also referred to as Street Fighter 6) will see the return of series mainstays like Chun-Li and Ryu. However, entirely new characters will be appearing debut too. Capcom shared the launch roster for when the game eventually appears on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
Street Fighter: The Movie originally released in 1994 and is now immediately available to stream for free through Tubi.
