Capcom announced that it is going to make it easier to ensure only intended Super Arts are used in Street Fighter 6 with new command inputs adjustments. It noted on Twitter that the recognition frames will shorter once the next update appears on September 27, 2023. It also noted the two specific commands that will be affected by the change.
In the announcement, Capcom said the Street Fighter 6 Super Arts command inputs affected are 236236 and 214214. So, as an example, this would make a difference when performing Chun-Li’s Hoyoku-sen, Kikosho, and Soten Ranka Super Arts. This means it could help eliminate some crossover with her Special moves like Hundred Lightning Kicks, which uses 236K, or Hazanshu, which requires 214K.
As a reminder, this isn’t the only September 27, 2023 addition. It’s just one of the free ones. That day is also when AKI will join the game’s roster. She’ll be available either if you buy her separately or as a part of the season pass. The announcement for this change even included a new screenshot of her from the game.
Street Fighter 6 is immediately available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the AKI and Super Arts command input change update date is September 27, 2023.
