Hot on the heels of a release date announcement comes the announcement of an arcade version of Street Fighter 6. Taito is working with Capcom on the development of the upcoming fighting game’s debut. No concrete release date was given for the arcade version, though Taito says that it will come out in 2023. [Thanks, Dengeki Online!]
More details about Street Fighter 6 were released recently via a trailer at The Game Awards 2022. The trailer showed off some gameplay, including peeks at several minigames. It also gave first looks at the game’s iterations of Dee Jay, Manon, Marisa, and JP, as well as showing more of some of the previously announced characters.
Additionally, it was recently announced that the game would be sold in three editions: standard, deluxe, and ultimate. Pre-ordering any of the three versions will come with Outfit 1 Color 10 for six characters. Those who spring for the deluxe edition will also get the Year 1 Character Pass, while those who grab the ultimate edition will get the Year 1 Ultimate Pass. What either of the passes contains is currently unknown.
Street Fighter 6 releases for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on June 2, 2023. Taito will release an arcade version of Street Fighter 6 sometime in 2023.
