Street Fighter 6 ‘How to Play’ Marisa Video Shows Her Scutum Attack

Right on time, Capcom shared another “how to play as” Street Fighter 6 character video, with Marisa as the newest star. The clip follows the usual pattern. This means the first parts focus on her general abilities and how to use her, then it zeroes in on a specific attack. In this case, it shows how someone could use “Scutum” in a match.

While the beginning of the trailer describes Marisa as a “powerhouse” in Street Fighter 6, the bulk of the video focuses on her Scutum attack. It shows how it can be used both as an aggressive move to attack an opponent, or as a reactionary one to punish someone as they try to attack her. At the end of the trailer, she performs a bridal carry on Ryu, showing it isn’t an action reserved for Zangief.

The last “How to Play” video starred another Street Fighter 6 newcomer: Manon.

In addition to the “How to Play” Marisa video, two more Street Fighter 6 trailers appeared. One is a “Your Story” trailer. It focuses on character motivations and storylines, starting with Ryu telling his tale. It appeared during the May 2023 PlayStation Showcase.

The other video is a launch trailer. It stars Lil’ Wayne and features a number of gameplay clips set alongside real world segments with people engaging in Street Fighter-related activities.

Street Fighter 6 will appear on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on June 2, 2023. It will also show up in arcades.
