Square Enix announced a new strategic card battler game for smartphone, called Dragon Quest Rivals, scheduled for release sometime this year in Japan. Here’s a first look with a teaser trailer.

Dragon Quest Rivals is an upcoming turn-based card battle game where you’ll fight using cards featuring characters and monsters from the Dragon Quest series. By creating your very own deck from a pool of various cards, challenge rivals from around the country. A new Dragon Quest filled with competitive card battles is arriving.

 

Furthermore, a closed beta test is scheduled to take place from June 9 through June 19. You can register for the testing here until June 4. A total of 10,000 registrants will be accepted (2,000 from iOS and 8,000 from Android).

 

Dragon Quest Rivals launches in Japan in 2017 for iPhone and Android.
