As a surprise to celebrate Steins;Gate’s tenth anniversary, Spike Chunsoft has released a surprising spin-off. The dating sim visual novel, which was teased on the European PlayStation Blog on December 9, 2019, has launched outside of Japan. People can now get Steins;Gate: My Darling’s Embrace Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC copies.
Steins;Gate: My Darling’s Embrace is an alternate reality storyline. Rintaro Okabe has a chance to live peacefully. In this Delta world, he can get to know six heroines from the series, including Moeka Kiryu, and work towards romantic endings with each of them. As in Steins;Gate, the course of the story is changed depending on whether or not Rintaro pays attention to his phone. Returning and ignoring calls and texts can change who he gets to know better and which ending you earn.
This isn’t the only Steins;Gate announcement today. The Nintendo Switch now has its own version of Steins;Gate 0 available. Like Steins;Gate: My Darling’s Embrace, this is a digital-only release.
Steins;Gate: My Darling’s Embrace is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. It is $29.99. However, until December 17, 2019, a 10% launch discount is in effect.
