Stefan Levin in Captain Tsubasa Rise of New Champions

Stefan Levin Will Join Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions

The first three DLC characters for Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions have been confirmed, and Stefan Levin is revealed to be one of them. Levin is one of the most popular characters in the Captain Tsubasa franchise. Originally debuted at the World Youth arc, the Swedish offensive midfielder is famously known for his destructive Levin Shot that can and will injure any opponent who dares to intercept it. In addition to Stefan Levin, the other two DLC characters who will join the roster in Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions this Winter are the Mexican goalie Ricardo Espadas and the Thai defender Singprasert Bunnag. The latter Thai player is also noted to come with some Muay Thai-based techniques.

UPDATE: The official English Twitter account of Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions has published official screenshots of the first three DLC characters, which will be available in early December 2020.

A total of 9 DLC characters will be added to Rise of New Champions; all can be bought at once with the Character Pass. Three batches scheduled for this Winter, early 2021, and Spring 2021 will each add 3 extra characters that can also be purchased individually.

It is also noted that once these characters are added to the game, they can also be interacted with in the story other than just adding them to versus team rosters. This implies that the player avatar may be able to befriend them and learn their techniques in Episode of New Hero.

Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions is immediately available worldwide on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It has surpassed 500,000 copies in physical shipments and digital sales combined.
