It’s been a while since Capcom said anything about Steel Battalion Heavy Armor, but today, they announced a release date for the Kinect game. Steel Battalion Heavy Armor is slated for release on June 19th in North America and June 22nd in Europe. You can watch a new story trailer for the game above.

 

Steel Battalion Heavy Armor uses both the Kinect as well as the Xbox 360 controller. Moving and firing is handled using the 360 controller, while interacting with crew members is done using Kinect. You can give crew members high-fives, talk to them, or try to keep them from panicking. Your relationship with your crew influences the outcome of the game.

 

Kinect is also used for other tank functions. Dark Souls developer, From Software, who are developing the game, assigned aiming and firing your Vertical Tank’s turret-mounted machine gun and pulling levers to Kinect.
