The Apple iOS’ TestFlight version of the Steam Link application has received a rather notable update. Touch Arcade, which was involved in the beta, has discovered the application no longer allows people to purchase games on Steam through it. Instead, when people go to a product listing for a game they do not own, it will say, “Available for purchase from your PC.” This means people can not buy things through Steam Link on Apple iOS devices, unless using Wallet credit.

As a reminder, Valve first announced Steam Link for Android and Apple iOS devices back in May 2018. However, at the end of that month, Apple rejected the Apple iOS version of the app. The reason for the rejection was cited as “business conflicts.”

Steam Link is immediately available for Android devices and allows people to stream games from their PC to their device.
