Nintendo Switch owners with Stardew Valley may find themselves encountering a rather unfortunate glitch. People have been reporting an issue on the Chucklefish forums and Reddit that occurs when sending their farmer to sleep after a long day. When they go to sleep, which is when the game saves, the game will crash. If they reload the game and their last save file, they will find they need to repeat the same day.
Some people have reported a temporary fix. If they encounter this Stardew Valley bed bug and reload, some have said they can save properly and go through to the next day if they either immediately go back to sleep or do one important task (like feeding their animals) then go to sleep.
Chucklefish is aware of this Stardew Valley Switch glitch. In a post on the forums, it is keeping track of all the problems it is aware of in this version, as well as the repair status. This issue is noted as “crash when saving/sleeping” and is labeled as “need more details.” So if people are experiencing this problem, reporting in to Chucklefish could help them get enough information to reproduce and confirm the problem, develop a solution, and fix it.
Stardew Valley is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC
